Project Soul
A 2D roguelike adventure
About This Project
Project Soul was the stand-in name for an untitled 2d roguelike. This was a story driven project, set in Japan during the edo period. It follows a pair of siblings battling through enemies utilizing elemental abilities and weapons. This was the dream project of a passionate gamer who contracted my help to get the project off the ground. As far as I know, the project was never finished.
My Role
My task for this project was to construct the core movement and weapon system. I designed a modular system that would allow for easy implementation of future abilities. The movement was inspired by the super smash brothers series, letting the player use air dashes to have increased control.
